What Had Happened Was...
THE QUEST FOR FLAVOR
Before I get into the nitty-gritty of SmokeyCorn®, let me give you a little background. I've been a few things in my life: store manager, stockbroker, Emmy-winning makeup artist (I've won 2 to date). Truthfully, makeup artistry is my first love. I've wanted to be a makeup artist since I was 10 years old; and I still slay faces for TV and film as well as the red carpet. Indeed, I was nominated for an Emmy in 2022 and 2023 for my work on Star Trek Picard.
So what inspired me to create SmokeyCorn®? Well, feeding folks is my second passion. "Smokey" is my nickname. Smoky, also just happens to be the basis for some of my favorite flavor fusions. Several years ago, two events occurred that led me to an epiphany: First, I went to Seattle, and as I sat in a lovely little diner up the street from the Public Market, I was introduced to smoky spices that I'd never before experienced.
Second, low-cal popcorn brands exploded onto the market, and I wondered why they had no flavor. It occurred to me that I could give low-cal popcorn the flavor infusion it needed with the simple introduction of a few spices. I love to create in the kitchen so I was convinced that I could marry HUGE flavor with low calories.
And that's how SmokeyCorn® was born!

FOOD IS MEDICINE
In 2008, my brother was diagnosed with brain cancer; he lived four short months. At that time, I decided that MY health had to be a priority, and that decision influenced the composition of my favorite snack: popcorn.
When I crafted SmokeyCorn®, I sourced the finest spices I could find within the confines of the U.S. (made in America is important to me). Beyond the synergistic flavors, I purposefully formulated SmokeyCorn® with the intention of its being good to you AND good for you.
SMOKELESS: IT'S MORE THAN YOU THINK
Smokeless is another nickname. So when I thought about creating a flavor with no smoky ingredients, what I was going to name it was never in question. And while Smokeless doesn't have the signature smoky spices, its essence is truly distinctive.
It all starts with the crisp, luscious Amish Country popcorn. Plus, it has a host of other good-for-you ingredients like nutritional yeast and garlic. Smokeless is a sumptuous layering of flavors for your tastebuds.
Waaayback When...
CONSTANT CRAVINGS
The pot in the video was my favorite dedicated popcorn pot (can't you tell?!?! LOL). It marks the humble beginnings of SmokeyCorn®, a tamer version of which I've made for family and friends for years. Indeed, I have a friend who comes to visit from Chicago, and the first thing for which she asks when she crosses the threshold is my seasoned popcorn. And when I visit her in Chicago, the request is the same: POPCORN PLEASE!
